In November 2025, Guatambu Travel had the honour of leading a deeply sensitive group through the sacred lands of Minas Gerais. The itinerary brought together the two main places in the story of Chico Xavier: Pedro Leopoldo, where the celebrated medium was born and took his first steps in psychography (spirit writing), and Uberaba, where he lived for decades devoted to welcoming thousands of people.
Travelling the Spiritist circuit of Minas Gerais is a transformative experience. Every square, tree and historic house seems to hold the living memory of examples of selflessness and humility.
Itinerary highlights
Our November departure brought unforgettable encounters:
- Pedro Leopoldo: A visit to the Centro Espirita Luiz Gonzaga, founded in 1927, where Chico wrote down fundamental works such as Parnaso de Alem-Tumulo. Next came the modest Casa de Chico Xavier and the monument at the Dona Cidalia reservoir.
- Uberaba: Moving moments at the Grupo Espirita da Prece, the Casa de Chico Xavier and the Memorial, where the simplicity of his belongings touches everyone.
- Culture and fellowship: Lunches of traditional Minas Gerais cooking made on a wood-fired stove, stops to buy cheeses and handmade sweets, and friendly conversations through the evenings.
