Taking part in a major Spiritist event is much more than attending lectures: it is a rare opportunity to renew your moral strength, meet old friends again and spend time together in harmony. The year 2027 stands out as an especially bright milestone for the Brazilian and international Spiritist movement, bringing historic celebrations that promise to gather caravans from across the country.
Travelling to congresses of this size calls for early planning. Those who leave it until the last minute often face expensive fares, hotels far from the venue and worries about city transfers on busy days. On Guatambu Travel caravans, our mission is to turn the journey into a retreat of learning and calm, taking care of every detail along the way so that your focus stays fully on the lessons and the fellowship.
Divaldo Franco centenary in Salvador
The most anticipated event of 2027 is the commemorative gathering for the centenary of the birth of Divaldo Pereira Franco, titled O Semeador de Estrelas. Scheduled for 1 and 2 May 2027 at the Centro de Convenções Salvador, in Bahia, the gathering celebrates the legacy of the sower of the gospel and honours his tireless dedication to doing good.
Jointly coordinated by the Mansão do Caminho, the Federação Espírita Brasileira (FEB) and international organisations, the programme brings together doctrinal lectures, artistic performances and moments of deep reflection around the message of Joanna de Angelis. For travellers, it is also the ideal time to see the Mansão do Caminho at first hand, in the Pau da Lima neighbourhood.
State congresses and federation gatherings
Besides the major tribute in Salvador, the 2027 calendar includes important gatherings promoted by the state federations. In Rio Grande do Sul, the Federação Espírita do Rio Grande do Sul (FERGS) traditionally organises gatherings for integration and doctrinal training. In Paraná, the Federação Espírita do Paraná (FEP) keeps its regular calendar of seminars, which draw volunteers and students from across the South region.
Another highlight is the Congresso Espírita de Goiás, known for its warm welcome and for bringing together speakers devoted to the in-depth study of the basic works of Allan Kardec.
The advantages of travelling in an organised caravan
Travelling in a group to Spiritist events offers conveniences that make all the difference, especially for those who value comfort and safety:
- Well-placed accommodation: Selected hotels close to the congress venue or with daily private transport already arranged.
- Fellowship: The atmosphere of the group begins at boarding, with readings, soft music, moments of prayer and uplifting conversation.
- Integrated itineraries: Guided visits to historic centres, doctrinal memorials and tourist sights without rushing.
- Dedicated travel assistant: Attentive coordination that accompanies the group at every stage, helping with health and dietary needs.
