On 5 May 1927, Divaldo Pereira Franco was born in Feira de Santana, Bahia. He became one of the world's greatest speakers and promoters of Spiritism and charity. Over almost eight decades of uninterrupted devotion to good, Divaldo took the message of Jesus and the spirits to more than 70 countries and took in tens of thousands of children and families at the Mansão do Caminho.

To celebrate the hundred years since his birth, the international Spiritist movement is organising the major gathering Divaldo Franco: O Semeador de Estrelas, which will take place on 1 and 2 May 2027 at the modern Centro de Convenções Salvador, on the seafront of the capital of Bahia.

The meaning of this historic gathering

Following his physical farewell on 13 May 2025, at the age of 98, this congress represents a moment of immense collective gratitude. Organised by the Mansão do Caminho together with the Federação Espírita Brasileira (FEB), the Federação Espírita do Estado da Bahia (FEEB) and the Conselho Espírita Internacional (CEI), the event is expected to bring together thousands of participants from Brazil and abroad.

All proceeds from registrations go towards maintaining the social and educational work of the Mansão do Caminho, directly continuing the work that Divaldo and Nilson de Souza Pereira began in the 1950s.

Programme highlights

The preliminary programme covers three days of intense spiritual edification:
