Set within a large green area in the Pau da Lima district of Salvador, Mansao do Caminho is a true oasis of peace, education and charity. Founded on 15 August 1952 by Divaldo Pereira Franco and Nilson de Souza Pereira, inspired by the Centro Espirita Caminho da Redencao, the institution has already supported thousands of children, mothers and families in vulnerable situations.

For those travelling to Salvador with a heart turned to spirituality, getting to know Mansao do Caminho up close is an unforgettable experience of fellowship and a practical example of the Gospel.

Where it is and how it works

The institution is located at Rua Jayme Vieira Lima, 104, Pau da Lima, Salvador (BA). As there is another street with a similar name in the Bahian capital, it is essential to direct drivers using the CEP (postcode) 41236-720 or to arrange a booked transfer.

The complex is large and includes nurseries, schools, a medical centre, a community bakery, a bookshop, a memorial museum and the Cenaculo, where talks and doctrinal studies take place.

Guided visits and public talks

The institution welcomes visitors warmly, keeping organised rules so as not to interfere with school routines and social care:
