Anyone who follows the Spiritist calendar can already make a note: FEEGO, the Federação Espírita do Estado de Goiás, has announced that the 43º Congresso Espírita de Goiás will take place in Goiânia, from 6 to 8 February 2027, with the theme “O Cristo vive em mim” (“Christ lives in me”). We read the congress's official website on 17 October 2026 and separated what has been announced from what remains to be confirmed by the organisers.

We are organising a group leaving from Porto Alegre. If you live in a town along the way, get in touch to arrange where you will board. Message Mundo a Passeio on WhatsApp

What the Congresso Espírita de Goiás is

It is the state congress of FEEGO. The official website has a timeline of the event's history that begins in 1985, with the 1st Congress, and reaches the 43rd in 2027. In an interview with the magazine O Consolador in 2015, the then president of the federation, Ivana Leal Silva Raisky, said the congress is held every year and that, once one edition ends, the organisation of the next begins.

What it is like: three audiences, one theme

The organisers describe an integrated programme:

  1. Adults: keynote lectures, talks by guests of national prominence, moments of art and reflections on the Gospel in everyday life, at the Centro de Convenções de Goiânia.
  2. Youth (#CJovem27): workshops, music, discussion circles and doctrinal study, with its own website.
  3. Children (Congressinho Espírita): from Saturday to Monday. On Saturday, from 6pm to 9pm, there is a support room at the Centro de Convenções for children aged 6 and over. On Sunday and Monday, activities take place at the Lar Francisca de Lima, with a musical performance on the stage of the Centro de Convenções.

The website also notes alignment with the inclusive perspective of the Federação Espírita Brasileira.

Speakers confirmed so far

Ana Tereza Camasmie, Artur Valadares, Christiane Drux, Eulália Bueno, Irvenia Prada, Alberto Almeida, Jorge Godinho (president of the FEB), Décio Iandoli Jr. and Jefferson Bellomo. The list is the one on the official website on the date we read it and may change; the programme by day has not yet been published.

We have not listed the other editions because we found no official data on them.

Getting there: Porto Alegre and towns along the way

The congress organisers have not published travel guidance. For that reason we give no distance, journey time or stops: without a source, they are left out. What we do is bring together people interested in a group leaving from Porto Alegre and agree the boarding point with each of them. If you live in a town along the way, you can get in touch to arrange where you will board. Route details and departure dates will be shared once they are defined.

Mundo a Passeio operates Spiritist caravans leaving from Porto Alegre, and how this works is explained on the Spiritist caravan page. If you already have an established group, such as a centro espírita (Spiritist centre) or a study group, see how to hire a coach for a group trip. Trips already published are listed under expeditions.

Where to follow the Spiritist agenda

We keep a list of gatherings with dates published by their organisers: see the 2026 Spiritist events calendar and the 2027 Spiritist agenda. For questions about the group, use the contact page.
