The 43rd Congresso Espírita de Goiás (Goiás Spiritist Congress) already has a date, city and theme published by the organisers: 6, 7 and 8 February 2027, in Goiânia, on the theme “O Cristo vive em mim” (“Christ lives in me”). It is run by FEEGO, the Federação Espírita do Estado de Goiás (Spiritist Federation of the State of Goiás). In this article we separate what FEEGO has already announced from what is still to be confirmed by the organisers, so that nobody plans the trip on the basis of loose information.
We are organising a group departing from Porto Alegre. If you live in a town on the way, get in touch to arrange where you will board. Message Guatambu on WhatsApp
What is the Congresso Espírita de Goiás?
It is the state congress run by FEEGO. On the event's official website, the congress memory timeline begins in 1985 with the 1st Congress and reaches the 43rd in 2027. In 2015, in an interview with the magazine O Consolador, the federation's then president, Ivana Leal Silva Raisky, described the congress as annual and said that, as one edition ends, work on the next begins. That year, the 31st edition, she cited more than 1,500 participants from 21 Brazilian states.
What is already confirmed for 2027
Everything below comes from the congress's official website, read on 17 October 2026:

- City and venue: Goiânia, at the Centro de Convenções de Goiânia. The children's area also uses the Lar Francisca de Lima.

What the congress is like: adults, young people and children
According to the organisers, the programme is integrated and has three strands on the same theme:
- Adults (general congress): keynote lectures, talks by guests of national prominence, moments of art and reflections on living the Gospel in everyday life.
- Mocidade (Youth) (#CJovem27): youth leadership, workshops, music, discussion circles and deeper doctrinal study, with its own portal.
- Children (Congressinho Espírita): a space for children to take part from Saturday to Monday. On Saturday, from 6 pm to 9 pm, there is a support room at the Centro de Convenções for children aged 6 and over; on Sunday and Monday, activities take place at the Lar Francisca de Lima, with a musical performance on the Centro de Convenções stage.
The page also states that the congress follows the inclusive approach developed by the Federação Espírita Brasileira, with a commitment to accessibility and welcome.
Who the confirmed speakers are
The organisers list nine names: Ana Tereza Camasmie, Artur Valadares, Christiane Drux, Eulália Bueno, Irvenia Prada, Alberto Almeida, Jorge Godinho (president of the FEB), Décio Iandoli Jr. and Jefferson Bellomo. The programme by day and time still appears as “in preparation” on the website.
